What’s Happening with Waitr and Cova - Update from Cova CEO Gary Cohen
By Gary Cohen on Mar 11, 2022 12:00:00 AM

On December 16, 2021, we announced we were in negotiations to be acquired by Waitr Holdings. I'm sad to report these negotiations have ended and we will no longer be combining companies. You need only look at current market conditions to see why.
Even though we will not be joining forces now, we have already started discussing other arrangements that could leverage each other's strengths. Stay tuned.
As for Cova, we are pleased that we continue to grow and have a solid hiring plan to support that growth. If you know anyone looking for an exciting career with a fast-paced cannabis technology company, now is the time to join the momentum.
As a client-centric company, we continue to listen to our dispensary customers, and focus our expertise on delivering best-in-class POS and inventory management to support their success. Cova Software is fully funded and operating to a plan that will push our product forward, and client satisfaction ever higher.
In closing, it was a pleasure getting to know the Waitr team over the past few months and we wish them the best of luck going forward.
